The service
Fáilte Guide lets hosts of Irish holiday lets, cottages and B&Bs publish a mobile welcome guide, a QR code and a printable PDF for their guests.
The service is still under development and offered free of charge, as it is. Features may change, and we may pause or stop the service with reasonable notice.
If you are a host
- You are responsible for what you write in your guides and for keeping it accurate — check-in details, safety information and emergency numbers especially.
- Only publish a property you own or are allowed to manage, and only add guest email addresses with the guest's agreement.
- Open guides can be read by anyone with the link or QR code. Use "guests only" for key-box codes and anything private.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You can delete your guides or your whole account at any time from the dashboard.
If you are a guest
Guides are written by your host, not by Fáilte Guide. For anything about your booking, the property or payment, contact your host directly.
Messages you send from a guide go by email to the host, who can reply to you.
The AI assistant
The assistant answers from the host's guide but can make mistakes. Don't rely on it for emergencies — call 112 or 999 in Ireland.
Fair use
- No unlawful, misleading or harmful content, and no spam through guides, messages or emails.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around the limits and protections of the service.
- We may remove content or close accounts that break these terms.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Fáilte Guide is not liable for losses arising from a guide's content, from a guide being unavailable, or from how guests and hosts use the information in it. Nothing here limits rights you have under Irish or EU consumer law.
Changes and contact
If these terms change we'll update this page. Questions? Write to the team behind Fáilte Guide via the About page. See also our Privacy page.
